Our globe reproductions are made with printed maps copied from ancient library originals. Dating back to the 16th and 17th century then on to more modern globes from the 1930’s. Early globes show the world as it was perceived at an age when navigation was done by measuring positions of sun and stars and a simple compass to sail to the ends of the known world and beyond.
