The earliest international Brigtish airline was serving a worldwide British Empire, Africa, India, S.E. Asia, Australia. Imperial’s aircraft were all built in England. Reknown for large flying boats as they were called, four engines luxury planes. Mind you, a trip from London to Melbourne might take eleven days with refueling stops on the way, and passengers being served in airport clubs and hotels. Imperial Airways was eventually absorbed by BOAC which was then renamed British Airways as it is known today.
